British Eventing Volunteering Day

Did you make a New Year’s Resolution to volunteer more, or even get started on your volunteering journey?

British Eventing has organised some Volunteers Workshops at British Eventing venues around the country. All Horse Trials Volunteers, plus everyone even just interested in the idea of volunteering, are very welcome but you must book your place by contacting the venue. Look forward to seeing lots of you there! Everyone is welcome, you do not need to be a BE volunteer/member to come!

Start Time: Welcome at 9.30am for a 10am start

Finish Time: Approx. 3pm.

The day will include the following topics:

  • Different Volunteer Roles with a discussion about each area.
  • Other roles including Control, Stewarding, Dressage Writing, Scorers, Arena Party, etc.
  • Fence Judging – a comprehensive discussion and presentation covering all aspects.
  • Frangible Fences
  • New Rules for this year.
  • Question and Answer session.

If you have a particular topic you would like to cover, please do email us on britisheventing@kelsallhill.co.uk  and we can put it forward for the day.

Location: Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, Primrose Suite. There will be appropriate breaks for tea and coffee and lunch throughout the day. Tea, Coffee and Water will be available in the room all day. Food will be available to purchase from Urchins Kitchen all day. Upon arrival if you park on the tarmac car park outside the equestrian centre and come into reception a member of staff will point you in the right direction of the room.

If you would like to attend the day please email britisheventing@kelsallhill.co.uk with your name and a contact number. Please note it is a first come first serve basis with limited slots available.

We look forward to seeing you all and it would be fabulous to welcome new volunteers to join the Kelsall Hill Volunteer Army!
