We are delighted to be able to host BS affiliated show jumping competitions. Competitions in summer use our Lakeview and Lakeside outdoor arenas, during winter we’re inside warming up in our spacious Primrose View arena and competing in the Grandstand Arena. Lights inside will be turned on when needed.
Our arena surfaces are wet not waxed to give your horse the best footing we can.
Currently we are running Category 1, 2 and Junior shows but we hope to offer a wider range of competitions in time. If you have a great idea to enhance our BS offer and think there’s enough demand for it please let us know and we’ll try to incorporate it into our next bid for dates and events.
We are always looking to create those long-term relationships with clients so please let us know how we can improve what we’re doing.
Competitors must pre enter and competitors are obliged to run in order and at the times specified in accordance with BS guidance.
Spectators are most welcome to watch from the grandstand seating or from the café.
We’ve added a viewing platform for videoing show jumping rounds, access is restricted to the associates of the current competitor on course only.
Prize Money and rosettes can be collected from reception once the results are published.
Unwanted rosettes can be swapped for a tea/coffee in the café providing they are in good order.
Prize money will be refunded to your credit card on the day if you present your card at reception, please sign the form for the class to say that you have received your money.
Please be polite to the stewards and officials, without them we have no competitions, if you have any concerns about anything please take your query to reception.
We will comply with whatever Covid rules are in place at the time, apologies for any inconvenience that this might create.
Refreshments will be available during the normal operating hours of Urchin’s Kitchen 9am-5pm. It is possible that the hours may be extended at the managers discretion but please do not take this as a given.
