If you wish to check availability please ring the office on 01829 708241. \n\n\n\nOfficials\n\n\n\nCourse Builder and Designer: BE Gold Listed, Dominic Lawrence\n\n\n\nEvent Overview\n\n\n\nAn exciting addition to the calendar for Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, providing the opportunity for our grass root riders to participate in a Hunter Trials. Our centre has been enhanced with a significant new investment to create a world class new centre and facilities. Our site is easily accessible and parking is plentiful. You will find our service very friendly and our staff completely committed to making your time with us as enjoyable as possible.\n\n\n\nHunter Trials is a perfect test between horse and rider over a cross country course. A great test for riders of all abilities, our event will include classes from 70cm up to 1.00m. Competitors will tackle a flagged, numbered and dressed cross country course, which will be timed from start to finish. The combination with the least number of penalties and closest to the optimum time will be the winner.\n\n\n\nThe XC courses will be built and designed by Dominic Lawrence. All courses will include a water complex and benefit from well-built fences and the use of the undulating ground. The going is usually good due to the sandy soil, but ground care will be carried out if necessary.  \n\n\n\nEntries and Times\n\n\n\n£40 per entry including both the medic fee and start fee.\n\n\n\nThe entry fee includes VAT.\n\n\n\nEntries will close on Tuesday 25th July 2023 or earlier if the event is oversubscribed. A waitlist will be taken. Late entries will be accepted after the closing date if space permits, these will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. All late entries must be sent in to admin@kelsallhill.co.uk ( mailto:admin@kelsallhill.co.uk ) and include the following details, rider name, horse name, class and a contact number. A £3 late fee will apply.\n\n\n\nTimes will be published on the Kelsall Hill website, www.kelsallhill.co.uk ( http://www.kelsallhill.co.uk/ ) 48 hours prior to the competition.\n\n\n\nRules and Format\n\n\n\nThis competition is run under British Eventing rules.\n\n\n\nThe winner is the combination with the least number of penalties and closest to the optimum time.\n\n\n\nPlease see our competition and site rules and responsibilities, reporting and general disclaimer on the Kelsall Hill website. All horses/ponies must be up to date with annual flu vaccinations.\n\n\n\nClasses may be divided into sections dependent on number of entries per class. A maximum of 40 competitors per section will apply. Juniors and Seniors will jump together, we will not be splitting.\n\n\n\nWhat To Wear\n\n\n\nXC attire must be worn for the competition.\n\n\n\nYou must wear an up to standard hat (as per British Eventing Rules)\n\n\n\nYou must wear an up to standard body protector. If an air jacket is worn, this must be worn over a standard body protector.\n\n\n\nYou will need to provide your own number bib.\n\n\n\nRosettes and Prizes\n\n\n\nRosettes will be awarded up to 6th place. Prizes will be confirmed in due course. The top 6 competitors are required to attend the prize giving’s. Please note if you do not attend the prize giving’s or notify a member of staff you will not be present you will forfeit your prize money, rosette and prize.\n\n\n\nStabling, Hook Ups and Camping\n\n\n\nWe have 23 stables on site available for hire.\n\n\n\nStables cost £35 per night/stable, this does not include bedding. There is no turn out available with the stables.\n\n\n\nYou will need to bring your own stabling equipment, such as water buckets, mucking out tools, wheelbarrows and a brush.\n\n\n\nA fully refundable stable cleaning deposit will be charged at £50 per stable. A £20 hook up deposit will be required and is fully refundable once the hook up is returned. \n\n\n\nCamping is available, for more information please contact the office on 01829 708241.\n\n\n\nAbandonment & Cancellation of the Event\n\n\n\nIn the case of any of the following, all entries will be refunded minus a £10 cancellation fee.\n\n\n\nAbandonment means a decision not to run events, or any part therefore, for (i) safety reasons caused by adverse weather or poor light which are beyond the reasonable control of the organiser;(ii) where an event has experienced a serious medical emergency such that continuation of that fixture is deemed by BE not to be in the interest of the sport and competitors/officials/volunteers;(iii) if Eventing is prohibited or advised against by the UK Government or a government agency either regionally or nationally as a result of a notifiable diseases\n\n\n\nCancellations and Withdrawals\n\n\n\nAll withdrawals must be put in writing to admin@kelsallhill.co.uk ( mailto:admin@kelsallhill.co.uk )\n\n\n\nYou will receive a refund minus an admin charge of £4 per entry prior to the closing date of Tuesday 25th July 2023. Following Tuesday 25th July 2023, you will only be refunded if we can fill your space minus an admin charge of £4 per entry.\n\n\n\nAccommodation and Catering\n\n\n\nA list of the local accommodation can be provided if you contact the Kelsall Hill team on 01829 708241 or email admin@kelsallhill.co.uk ( mailto:admin@kelsallhill.co.uk ).\n\n\n\nCatering will be available all day during the competition in Urchins Kitchen, serving delicious hot and cold food along with a selection of cakes and hot and cold refreshments. It is also a fully licensed bar.\n\n\n\nSpectators and Dogs\n\n\n\nSpectators are welcome for free to come and enjoy the sporting action! Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
